4440 & 4430 SERIES PLUMMER BLOCK

4440 and 4430 type plummer blocks are split housings having top and bottom halves held together by two or four bolts securely. High tensile bolts of grade minimum 8.8 grade are used for holding the top half. They are suitable for extreme heavy loading applications. As per customer’s requirement, for extreme load application services, stronger bolts of grade 12.9 are provided as cap bolts. They are designed for spherical roller bearing mounted on adapter sleeve / withdrawl sleeve or directly mounted on cylindrical shaft. For this type of plummer blocks, bearing are normally lubricated with grease. However, for shaft diameter 160 mm and above and plummer blocks type 4430, a circulating oil lubrication also used. As per customer’s requirement for higher temperature application, the standard nitrile rubber seal are replaced with viton or silicon material seal. Customer should specify such requirements while ordering.

These type of plummer blocks ae specially designed for steel industry applications and suitable for spherical roller bearing with shaft size ranges from 30 mm to 450 mm.
