In terms of center height and foundation bolt centers, the horizontally split plummer blocks (bearing housings) of the 'PRE' SNA series are entirely interchangeable with the older SN type plummer block. By altering the shaft seals, for example, 500 and 600 series bearings with equivalent outer diameters can be utilized in the same bearing housings. When the bearing O.D. of 1206K and 1305K is equal, such as 52mm, SNA 506 plummer blocks can also be utilized as SNA 605. The identical plummer blocks can also be used for bearings with (straight) cylindrical bores or tapered bores that are mounted with adapter sleeves. These plummer blocks, however, are referred to as SNA 200 & SNA 300 for bearings with cylindrical bores and SNA 500 & SNA 600 for bearings with adapter sleeves. Bearing seating width provides axial freedom, which can be made axially located by insertion of suitable locating rings.

SNA plummer blocks are supplied with felt seals (designated and suffixed as TC), rubber V-ring seals (TA), and one ring and one end cover (ATA). These plummer blocks can also be supplied with double lip seals (TG) or labyrinth seals (TS) on order.
